About the Card
1. What is this card?
A credit card that lives fully inside an app — there’s no plastic. It’s issued by RBL Bank with SalarySe as partner, and works on UPI, so you pay by scanning QR codes like you already do. You earn reward points on eligible spends.
2. Is this a Swiggy card? Does Swiggy control it?
No. The card is given by RBL Bank with SalarySe. Swiggy only helps offer it to you — Swiggy is not your lender, does not run the card, and your account sits with RBL Bank.
3. There’s no physical card — how do I use it?
Everything happens in the RBL MyBank app. You access and manage the card there and pay through UPI. No card is ever posted to you.
4. Will money be cut from my Swiggy earnings for this card?
No. It’s a normal credit card, not linked to your Swiggy payouts. Nothing is auto-deducted. You get a monthly bill and pay it yourself.
Who Can Get It
5. Who can get this card?
You must be 21–70 years old and have a credit score of 720 or above.
6. I’ve never had a loan or credit card — can I get it?
Not right now. This card needs an existing credit score, so first-time credit users aren’t eligible yet. Honest limitation — it’s built for people who already have some credit history.
7. Why might my application be rejected?
Common reasons: score below 720, no credit history yet, missed payments in the recent past, or too many loan/card applications in the last 6 months.
Welcome Benefits
8. What do I earn when I start?
Up to ₹1,200 in points, one time: 2,500 points on your first ₹500 spend, 2,000 points for 15 UPI payments of ₹500 each, and 1,500 points for spending ₹30,000 — all within the early period.
9. How fast do I need to act to get these?
The first two (first spend + 15 UPI payments) must be done within 30 days of getting the card. The ₹30,000 spend has 3 months.
10. Do I get welcome benefits again later?
No. Welcome benefits are given only once.
Rewards — The Real Money
11. What is 1 reward point worth?
₹0.20. So 100 points = ₹20, and 1,000 points = ₹200.
12. “5X / 10X rewards” — how much real money is that?
In rupees: normal spends give about ₹0.20 back per ₹100. UPI through the SalarySe app gives about ₹1 back per ₹100 (5X). Once you cross ₹20,000 of UPI in a month, the rest gives about ₹2 back per ₹100 (10X). Good, not magical — better to know the real figure.
13. How do I earn on my normal everyday spends?
1 point for every ₹100 on eligible online and offline spends — that’s the base rate on most purchases.
14. What’s the most I can earn in a month?
Roughly ₹1,800 in points from ongoing spends (the 5X part caps at ₹200/month, the 10X part at ₹1,600/month), plus your one-time welcome points on top early on.
15. Simple rule — how do I earn the most?
The more you pay through UPI inside the SalarySe app, the more you earn. That’s where the 5X and 10X live.
16. Does every UPI payment earn the same?
No. UPI done through the SalarySe app earns the high 5X/10X. Other spends earn the base 1 point per ₹100. And some categories earn nothing (see below).
What Does NOT Earn — Read This
17. Can I use it for petrol?
You can pay, but fuel and vehicle spends earn zero points. On top of that, any single fuel or auto transaction above ₹10,000 carries a 1% fee (max ₹3,000). If a lot of your money is petrol, this card won’t reward that part.
18. Will I earn at small local shops?
Often no. Offline UPI payments below ₹2,000 at very small shops earn no points. So chai, small kirana and roadside spends usually won’t earn. Larger and online payments are fine.
19. What other spends earn no points?
Bills, recharges, rent, insurance, EMIs, school/college fees, government payments, and cash withdrawals — none of these earn points.
20. Do these zero-point spends at least count toward my fee waiver?
No. The excluded spends above don’t count toward the ₹2 lakh you need for the fee waiver either.
Using Your Points
21. How do I use my points?
Redeem them in the SalarySe app at ₹0.20 per point.
22. Is there a fee to redeem?
Free in the SalarySe app. If you redeem on RBL’s own reward portal instead, it costs ₹99 + GST — so the app is the better route.
Fees
23. Is the card free?
There’s a yearly fee of ₹499 + GST (about ₹589).
24. How do I get the fee waived?
Spend ₹2,00,000 in the year and next year’s fee is waived. Remember: fuel, bills, rent and the other excluded spends don’t count toward that ₹2 lakh.
Swiggy & Practical
25. Will Swiggy or my company see my spending?
Your card is with RBL Bank, not Swiggy — Swiggy is not the issuer. How RBL handles your data is covered by RBL’s privacy terms.
26. Can I keep the card after I leave Swiggy?
The card account is yours with RBL Bank, not tied to your Swiggy job. Just keep using it — note that a card left completely unused for 1 year is closed automatically as per RBI rules.
27. Is my card safe since it only lives on my phone?
It’s a virtual card managed inside the secure RBL MyBank app. Never share your card number, expiry, CVV or OTP with anyone. If anything looks wrong, block it instantly in the app (see below).
Money & Risk
28. What interest will I pay if I don’t clear my full bill?
If you don’t pay the full bill by the due date, interest kicks in — up to about 3.99% per month (roughly 47.88% a year). Your exact rate depends on your credit score: around 3.85%/month for scores 725–775, and 3.99%/month below 725. It’s charged daily until you clear everything, and once you carry a balance you also lose the interest-free days on new spends. Pay in full by the due date and you pay zero interest — that’s how this card is meant to be used.
29. What happens if I pay late?
You get a 3-day grace after the due date. Miss that and a late fee applies: 12.5% of what you owe, minimum ₹5, maximum ₹1,300 (plus GST). Interest starts too, and staying unpaid past 3 days gets reported to the credit bureaus (CIBIL), which lowers your score. Even paying just the minimum on time is far better than missing.
30. What is the “minimum amount due”?
It’s the smallest amount you must pay to keep the card in good standing — broadly your monthly fees and taxes, plus 5% of your spends and interest (or ₹200, whichever is higher), plus any EMI and past unpaid dues. Warning straight from the bank: if you only ever pay the minimum, the balance drags on. Their own example — a ₹5,000 balance paid only at minimum can take about 6 years to clear, with heavy interest. Pay as much as you can, ideally the full amount.
31. What does taking out cash cost?
This card is built for UPI and screen payments — taking out cash is not available through UPI on it. Even where a cash advance is possible on RBL cards, it’s costly (2.5%, minimum ₹500) and interest starts from day one with no free days. Treat this as a spend-and-earn card, not a cash card.
32. Can I convert a big spend into EMI, and what does it cost?
Paying in EMIs at a shop over UPI isn’t allowed on this card. Where EMI conversion is offered through the app, it carries a fee of 1.5% of the amount or ₹150 (whichever is higher), plus interest — and you earn no points on spends turned into EMI. So it’s possible only in limited cases, and it’s not the card’s strength.
33. What if my card details are misused or there’s fraud?
Block it immediately in the RBL MyBank app (Card Services → Report Dispute and Fraud → Fraud → Block) or call 1800 102 6222 right away. The faster you report, the more you’re protected — RBL follows RBI’s rules that limit your liability when you report quickly. For genuine fraud, no charge is applied and it isn’t reported to the bureau until it’s resolved. Never share your card number, expiry, CVV or OTP with anyone.
34. Can I use this card outside India?
It’s a RuPay virtual card, so it works only where RuPay is accepted abroad — which is limited compared to Visa/Mastercard. International use is off by default; you have to switch it on in the app first. Any foreign-currency spend also carries a 3.5% markup (plus GST). For most riders, best treated as an India-only card.
35. What is my credit limit and can I increase it?
The bank sets your limit and shows it in the app and on your monthly statement. There’s no self-set increase — the bank reviews it over time based on how you use and repay. Regular use and on-time payment build the case for a higher limit; missed payments or leaving the card unused for a year can get it reduced (and after a full year unused, it’s closed automatically).
